I've made it to sunny Australia! Except it hasn't been all that's been sorta rainy and kinda chilly actually. These Aussies need to get their act together!

So I got up yesterday morning at 4:30 to catch my 9am flight...I'd like to make a formal complaint via this blog to the Auckland International Airport website that says they recommend getting to the airport 3 hours early for international flights. We though that'd be a nice way to spend the morning, unfortunately it was freezing ...

... until it got chillly. Melbourne reallu does get 4 seasons in one day. It's weather has a little persoanlity issue! In the evening we all dashed up to the roof terrace of the hostel to catch the finale Fireworks of the Moomba festival and then grabbed a beer at a pub in Collingwood...or Fitzroy...I'm not entirely sure but it was tasty. I had some beer called goat something or other!! And that was day 1 in Melbourne ...

... referring to, but we couldn't seem to see anything other than a museum as we headed further and further north. Eventually we diverted a road over and found a parade of restaurants and shops. We noticed that quite a few of the places had notices in the windows advertising jobs so we grabbed a new sim card for Becky's phone (after attempting to figure out the phone deals out here), a quick bite to eat at QV, headed back to the hostel so I could sharpen up and ...
