... we headed back down Mt. Lofty to the city. Outside the reserve we spotted 5 or 6 koalas sleeping in the gum trees which was pretty cool.

We checked into the Hotel Grand Chancellor on Hindly Street at about 4:30pm, time for a short rest and then off to our "home-hosted dinner". As a family we have decided to make family holidays a priority. So far we've averaged from 1 night at kuipto forrest to 10 days at West Beach, and many times and places in between. But when asked by our good friends to join them on an adventure through the middle of Australia, through some caravan parks but a lot of "real" bush camping on a 6 week trek, it was a challenge we were keen to give a go!!!
