... in the chaos of South America, this orderly, westernised world gave me a bit of a back-to-my-own-culture shock. I was half expecting a Peruvian lady to come around the corner at any minute with a wheelbarrow full of pineapple slices on sale for two soles. I've spent my first few days here exploring Auckland from my hostel off Queen Street, the city's main shopping street at the heart of the CBD. And suddenly our time in New Zealand is at an end and we need to make our way to the airport for our long flight to our next port of call. We've certainly enjoyed our time here and the last month has gone very quickly.
The end of our trip around the World (or will it be There And Back Again?) is not too far away now but first we're going to drop in on Uncle Sam and see how he's getting ...
