... guy who had been in our dorm for the past 3 days but had never spoken to us, was also on the tour, and we discovered his name to be John.
After a quick safety talk, and pleanty of jokes later, we eventually met everyone else on the trip thanks to Ben, our tour guide carrying out "interrogations", which didn't go to plan at all but had everyone in stitches in the process!

... green pastures in the hills, was that the Czerkauer's must have been goat herders, and not very good ones since why else would we have left such prime pastureland. I complained that there were no animals out, so she couldn't really know what was being raised on these pastures. Of course, we had to slow down and avoid a herd of goats just before pulling into Melč - so she won the argument.

Apparently no one slept well after finishing off a liter of beer each last night, but a walk on a cold, sunny morning looking for breakfast helped. Unfortunately, while Bratislava is the city of coffee houses (and we hit several yesterday), none of them were going to open before 8 am at the earliest, so we broke down and paid for the hotel breakfast to keep the piece.

... one night here and Olomauc really is a gem. This morning we walked to St Wenceslas Cathedral, Our Lady of the Snows church- stencilled columns & Rococco decorations.There seemed to be a farmers market but was a rally of cars from the 1920s with the owners dressed the part with a band singing jazz numbers. Huge fun!! We are currently on the train to Budapest so more later. ...
