... the valley and over to half dome were amazing. After three days in the park you start to run out of superlatives, it is just such an amazingly stunning place. We could actually see the hikers on Half Dome. After convincing Nick not to jump the fence and climb onto the counter lever rock we headed to Sentinel Dome for lunch. It hasn't been a big week, but it has been a good week. Team Elephant has continued to wander around California getting our American legs and waiting for the US Government shutdown to end so that the national parks open up for visitors.

We hurriedly packed up due to the wasps, and then we were all squished into the baking hot van and back on our way towards Yosemite. ... 5 pm. The town had many nice restaurants and had more to it than I expected. The pool at the hotel was actually nice; not like the one at the Timbers which we could not even see through. We ended up eating at a very nice Italian restaurant that fortunately stayed open on the fourth.
