Stopped at Yosemite National Park on the way to Sonora. Loved it here - Ken, Brian and I went for a long walk through part of this beautiful park - I'd be happy to live here. Towering cliff faces, beautiful forrest, waterfalls and lakes. We got a bit lost but found our way back and had ice cream ...

Yosemite: May 17 & 18

Yosemite National Park was our next stop, it was a surprisingly easy drive to here. We expected it to be more winding through the mountains. The place we stayed at in Groveland was beautiful, a rural setting with horses in the paddock & rocking chairs on the porch! We headed up to Yosemite and were amazed by the majesty of this place. ... park. This done, we parked up, cooked dinner and watched another episode of Life before going to bed.

24th Nov.

Up again around 6am and on the road heading to Yosemite National Park. Funny how when we went to sleep there were no other campers, but when we left there were at least another 3 or 4! The drive to the park took us around 2 hours and was up and down in altitude and along a winding road until we arrived at Yosemite Village.
