We made it to Sonora after a 2.5 hour car ride from San Francisco. The drive was not particularly pretty. We did see a lot of produce farms-may have been cherry trees or apricots. We stopped off at a grocery store to fill up on goodies and then stopped in a little park to have lunch...Graeme had bought roast chicken and watermelon for us which was a nice ...

... a candle that somehow survived the rest of the day without getting broken.
It was so hot that the most appealing thing by midafternoon was jumping into a swimming pool so back to our hotel we went. We also strolled some of the shops of the area before returning to the room and falling asleep while watching yet another Star Wars movie on Spike TV (must have been a Star Wars special this week).
