... kind comments. So when I spotted a not-so-complimentary review, I was keen to see what the owners had responded with!! After reading a witty retaliation I decided that this hostel had personality and was the place for us. We were greeted by a man who appeared somewhat grumpy but in fact had an incredibly dry sense of humour. Once he realised we were a polite young couple (we were on our best behaviour) he warmed to us, had a little joke and waived the credit card fee, which in ...

First place to visit was the first walk. We left the car in the car park. Didn't really seem safe and it had nothing to lock. Didn't even have an immobiliser.
Started the walk, wasn't that hot but we were quickly sweating. About 30 minutes in we saw a lazy koala says up a tree trying to sleep.

After a long day traveling, we joined the rest of the people within our hostel for a film and we were surrounded by a number of cliches. The long haired, topless, "its time to draw fully naked women using my art set at 9:45 PM amongst a bunch of strangers of whom I don't know" hippy, was the final straw and it was definitely bed time.

Hi all, I have not made an entry since Monday because on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all we did was sit around, swim in the pool and basically be very lazy. Ray is still not 100% due to a very persistent cough that is the legacy of his recent illness. He feels quite listless and therefore not very enthusiastic about doing much at all. Today (Friday), we moved on from Cardwell to just down the ...

... a tropical topless car - the 2 fat ladies go topless. The only problem we had was swinging our leg - easy when you are 20 but harder at 55+! The only way to see the island we decided - great fun. We did a bit of shopping, had a swim at one of the lovely bays and enjoyed driving around looking. There are more adventurous pursuits to partake in but we decided to leave that for young and fit. The majority of ...
