    ... were beautiful as we approached the land and the port was magnificent.
    The week came and went, and on the weekend we all headed off to Rollingstone a gem of a beach only 40 mins from Townsville. Ted and Kay met us there and so passed the weekend.
    Anita and Alan and Ted and Kay headed home Sunday and Chris and I went further north to explore and to see uncle Giacomo at Yungaburra

    ... to see the Coral and tropical fishes and it was excellent. Thursday we went off to Magnetic Island for the day. We took the car over on the Ferry. Had a great day exploring. Went up to the WW11 Fort on the island, yes I know it rained, but that was actually quite nice,up through the bush there was a good track with signs etc. they have a terrific bus service, too, but of course didn't need to use it.     Townsville is where we are currently and we are still watching the weather. Thursday and Friday are suppose to be the days the cyclone will hit land hopefully well north of here. We will sit tight tomorrow and do the aquarium and other museums and see what the next day brings. Today the road was actually very long and rather monotonous, really for the first time.
