It's a shame we won't be back through on our way down but next year we will stay longer Back to the Chalet via Bunnings to get a screw to fix something in the van and to Amart to get new sunglasses and strap for me. An 7km (return) walk North to Pallarenda along the path and back via the beach and my day was done. Tomorrow we head to Jaggan in the Atherton Tablelands to stay with Ted (Brad's brother) and ...

We made it about a third of the way up, which was hard going enough, but thankfully this was enough to get the view that I wanted (which was stunning!!) and so we clambered back down. By this point it was probably pushing 35 degrees, and we both looked like we'd just jumped in a swimming pool.... ...

... of us set off from Magnetic Island for the Great Barrier Reef. It was a two hour trip to our dive spot. After a bit of bucket hugging, we arrived at the reef. Now I've been on quite a few dive and snorkel trips. Usually, you know you're close because you see the boats and snorkels bobbing like a herd of strange sea creatures. There was nobody here. Nothing but water of the most amazing shades of paradise, a few waves breaking. The Great Barrier Reef is actually a ...
