    Well you guessed it, another early start today as we hit the road south for Townsville.

    Gary and I have never driven this road before, as the road was flooded on our first visit to the north in 1999 and we haven't made it back here since, so it was great to be seeing something new.

    ... We then went for a swim and ate our amazing English Easter chocolates sent over by our mummies :) that evening we saw wild poisons and wallabies as they were right outside our hut! Though when we returned to our room our bed was covered in flies - I know we were in the jungle but there were hundreds!!!! That's the only bad thing to say about magnetic island, all in all we loved it!! Love melissa and Jared ...

    ... look at flights to Brisbane and hotels for 5 days and just leave the van here. Anyway, Britz finally agreed after numerous phone calls and conversations with different people and us needing to get quite assertive in the end, to swap the van and one is being driven us as we write from Cairns a 5 hr journey.     ... was very uninteresting but we did see widespread forest fire damage from previous fires. Wednesday, still raining heavily so off we drive again to Airlee Beach which faces the Whitsunday Islands, Captain Cook discovered these islands in 1770 and named them such as it was Whitsunday in his homeland.
