... close to an area officially declared an area of outstanding natural beauty. The beaches win clean water awards and are without doubt beautiful, however, blessed as we are in the good looks department, we are less blessed in the good weather department :0). After cooking ourselves for a few hours we started to get hungry and made our way down the street to a small Indonesian restaurant and ordered some local food which consisted of Nasi Goreng (fried Rice), fried rice with crab and salt and pepper prawns, the food was good! Lizzie paid a visit to the bathroom to find a cat wandering into the kitchen and a cockroach on its back in the bathroom, ...

I have become ... a champion Gazer.
Yep, I can gaze and gaze out to sea, up the coast, down the coast, at the clouds, at the mountains.
I can also gaze at the beautiful garden that surrounds this place I'm staying at the moment - Puri Pandan - with lots of tiny birds and butterflies that spend time in the garden too.
I have spent literally hours doing this.
I am so good at it!

... the beaten track and see the paddy farmers working. We got some good photos and left to go back. Once we got back we booked our tickets for tomorrow to the Gili Islands for a few days. We were shocked and nearly cried when we realised in 2 weeks we will be home :( For the evening meal we went to the famous Dirty Duck restaurant. The president apparently eats there and it's locally famous. The food was amazing and we both had a half duck meal! Cheers, E&L ...
... fishing which was really fun. We went out in a little traditional boat and spent a few hours floating around, looking back at Mount Agung which is an impressive mountain. I even managed to catch a few snapper so I ate like a king that night! I had a bit of a snorkel and remebered how much i love doing that. It reminded me that i really should get my dive certificate one day. Add it to the bucket (ha ha) list.
