    ... minute shopping, head to the hockey to see the Morrison’s (and end up seeing half of Albury), then over to Aunty Wilma and Uncle Lidio’s for a last hug and kiss from family.

    Then finally the airport ….. 'why are we getting there at 6.50pm??’ I ask ‘We don’t fly out until 10.40pm.’ ‘You are the last family to board’ the hostess tells me ….. and there is my answer!

    ... Derby from where it was still three and a half hours flying time to Melbourne. Arriving into Melbourne the flight was about 20 minutes late but being able to use the electronic customs gates I was out of arrivals and on the bus into the city having met my good friend Nigel within 30 minutes of touchdown! Travelling to Williamstown, where Nigel lives, involved using the Skybus and then the Metro changing at the very modern Southern Cross interchange. It was great to catch up ...

    ... to the bar you are greeted with glass cupboards full of science experiments, tables with Bunsen burners and just to complete the look, bars on the windows.     Wi-Fi in Australia sucks. In Asia you can get it for free pretty much wherever you go, and whilst it isn't always the best, it's a connection. Here we've got limits. Our hostel gave us 500mb of data each to last a week, so when I uploaded my pictures and blog on Friday night, apparently I totalled my week's allowance. Go figure.     ... at a launch site that Dave called "West Gate." Dad, George, and Greg all helped hold our balloon open as it inflated. The flame was really hot. Dave explained that there were two engines: the smaller one and the larger one – it was really helpful.
