... it wasn't raining any more). At noon we met back up with our tour group for our ride back to San Jose. I couldn't believe our trip was ending already!

We had one final night in San Jose, so we returned to Rio for an hour or so (the restaurant/bar where we discovered caipiriņas), and then met up with our tour group for a goodbye dinner at Olio. ... we conceded that this was, in fact, a great idea! So a gorgeous sunny day, cocktail in hand viewing the brown boobies on their island. We never did see any dolphins, but we did watch a pair of turtles mating for around 40 minutes, which was pretty cool! Off we staggered, rather drunk around midday and, sticking to the do or die principle, we carried on with the old boozing until the wee hours.
