... Logan Pass (6,646ft) and I thought the Amalfi Coastal road was narrow - and to paraphrase ex football Manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, there were a few squeaky bum moments on ascent and descent. We did manage to snatch bits of scenery and glimpses of wildlife along the way, including the Jackson Glacier (the only one visible on the road) and a Grizzly Bear (there was a convoy of traffic parked up with telescopes and binoculars) a guy pointed it out ...

We made it to Glacier! The going -to-the-sun road, which goes across the park, was closed about half way up due to snow. We thought Sally could have made it, but decided to respect the road closed sign. We got some really great mountain views and maybe even saw a glacier but we were not sure. Another three hour drive around the park would have brought us to a place of more glaciers, but we decided against it. ...

... and some estimate that the glaciers might totally disappear by 2020.

We did get off the road a few times for short hikes. One was on the Trail of the Cedars where there are lots of old, tall cedars along a very picturesque river. This is a short hike through the woods over wooden boardwalks and bridges. Another hike was along the Sunrift Gorge where a strong glacial river was flowing. Both really relaxing and nice ...
