... a restored railway car serving food for over 80 years and it's been a winner of best breakfast for the last 10 years (the Six Dollar Hot Cakes reminded me of my Gran's homemade pancakes). The famed Riverfront area was built for the World Expo in 1974 and to be honest it was showing its age. It was a bit of let down but Cameron loved the 100 year old carousel, the playground and the gondola ride over the (small) waterfalls.

Next stop Seattle!

... is the first sunset we have been able to see since Morro Bay. Almost a month ago!
The sunset itself wasn't spectacular because there were still a lot of rain clouds (yes, it is still raining up here, but we had a nice rainbow!) however, the sunset reflecting off of what we could see off of the snow capped mountains was just...ah!
Tomorrow Glacier for sure!!

... and other trees. Some of the cedars visible were over 24m (80 feet) tall. The trail splits into two sections: one loops, while the other continues to Avalanche Lake. In the middle of the half loop is a beautiful waterfall that has carved through colourful rock to make a channelled stream. Zach walked the whole way on the boardwalk while we made up stories about Owls, Racoons, Squirrels, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spiderman, Iron Man and Captain America.

... Bit of a change from the beginning of the trip where a 1 mile loop to Nymph Lake was a challenge. There was still masses of snow up there as well. A couple of guides were trying to clear part of the trail by digging out a bridge and they were honestly about 6ft down and still digging. Some trails aren't even open yet including the Highline Trail, which looked incredible, traversing the peaks. Sadly ...
