... Thanksgiving day long weekend.

We spent our time jumping at a trampoline park, on the beach and at LEGOLAND. We had an overnight flight to the Cook Islands, but unfortunately, a Lego lion ate the children so Mike and I headed to the islands alone . . .

... this really is almost military if you think about it. They were all in photos of teams with the same t shirt on, celebrating special holidays of the various countries. They are playing Tug of War, dancing, laughter shows in the photos and the biggest smiles that tell me the smiles you see above deck are sincere and the same smiles you see below deck after work.

... 8 slides there so we spent a fair amount of time relaxing on the 'beach' reading books and eating cheese steak, yum!! Brought a waterproof disposable camera to try and get some funny photos, managed to get some but no idea how they will come out!! Got some on the lazy river (mostly under the waterfalls!) and on a few of the slides (which will probably end up being a photo of the sky!!). There was one amazing slide that shot you down ...

... animals roaming and mingling like they do in nature. We took a tram ride through the preserve. The giraffes are pretty tame and will eat out of your hand, but we didn't do that. They have animal presentations and we watched a bird show that was fun. The weather has turned, not raining but quite cool and windy. Hoping for a sunny Memorial Day ...

... they'd climb it if they could!  And you had to watch the birds - apparently they'll snatch the fish out of your hands if you aren't watching.  We had been going to skip the sea lion show as it had already started and there was nowhere to sit, but we stood up at the top and watched.  And we were glad we did.  It was a 'murder mystery' and was quite humourous.  Again - the tricks that these animals are trained to do was ...
