I am greeted by a nice gentleman who says unfortunately, my big car has a flat tire so I have my smaller car today but I don't have enough seats for all of you.           ... interesting to watch. We are currently on the train to Amsterdam in first class comfort, just going through Belgium For only 59 euros each we have lovely comfy seats and a steward who keeps plying us with food and wine. Lovely way to travel. It's a 3.5 hour journey and it's very enjoyable. We are finally in Amsterdam and managed to find our central hotel within walking distance to the train station. Very busy.           ... to strike us was the number of people on bicycles. It seems everyone rides one. Not flash trendy machines, but sturdy old fashioned bikes, and the riders sit bolt upright. Pretty girls with their skirts flapping, men in suits, ladies of a certain age with flowers in their baskets, everyone.They have dedicated traffic lanes, and when we went out, we had to keep a very keen eye out for them.
