... 1200 and 1500. For nearly 1000 years it has been the most important church in this largely Catholic country. I've visited hundreds of churches in Europe, but this one had the most beautiful stained glass windows I have even seen. The royal weddings and funerals take place here as well.
From there we wandered through Parc de Bruxelles. Pretty, but certainly not Central Park, or even Bethpage ...

... red light district. The rain had started again which scared us from going back outside so instead we became friendly with two Aussie blokes and two American girls in our room. We chatted with them for many hours before heading out for dinner and also an innocent visit to the most touristy coffee shop we could find. We wandered the rainy streets for a short while visiting some of the shops in the red light district before bed.
