... It was a great decision! The city was both vibrant and beautiful - though the wind was piercingly cold!

We walked from the main train station, which itself, is a sight to behold, through the shopping streets towards the waterfront. We stopped for lunch in a great little health-cafe type place and had delicious soup and rolls. They had a highchair so Arthur got to have his lunch as well!

The square was apparently voted Europe's most beautiful square in 2010 and that is saying something with all the competition that would be available. It really is quite striking and spectacular with the spire of the spire of the city hall and the facades with gold colored ...

Chocolate Crawls and Cheap Beer

... myself, so he promised to buy me a beer. When we got there he surprised me by buying a grapefruit beer (he's brilliant!) and it was the most delicious drink I've ever had. Then I sampled several others, including their traditional Belgian beer. When we came out, it had started snowing.

The next morning, the city was covered in a layer of snow and we tramped through it to get to a beautiful Gothic cathedral for mass. ...
