Chester
On Friday we had a thrilling time going to the laundrette to do the washing and a trip to the local shops. After that we had a walk through a local park. Nice and sunny but cold.

Ellesmere
Back down the motorway on Thursday to Ellesmere Port where the Waterways museum is. I guess you have to like boats, especially narrow boats, to enjoy a day out here. Just like yeaterday the weather was kind n the morning, but by 3.30 it was getting dark and cold.
still, we had a good look around the museum and spent about three hours there. Lots of things to see and in summer there are boat trips up the canal.

Great value, excellent location and so clean!! We really enjoyed our stay. The staff at the reception were also very friendly and helpful with regard to places to go and directions. We were also moved to accomodate 2 smokers in our group!
