    ... statues and memorials. It's been a marketplace since the 11th century. We then made our way to the Vltava river via the Charles bridge, the most famous of the 15 or so bridges that cross it.     ... Eiffel Tower at 1/5 its height but a perfect viewing platform. We paid to climb the 300 odd winding steps to the top. Wow. In the distance are blocks of flats, presumably built during the communist era which you don't see from the ground.     ... train station at 9:00pm to board a 10pm train...We did some re-packing in the waiting area and then were able to board the train. We boarded the train and before long we were being abused by the train ticket inspector complaining because we hadn't filled in our inter-railing documents...I do see how this was a pain for him...
