We were not excited about Vergennes. The water fall was nice, the town green community concert was cute, but the river was brown, the town was not vibrant and it was too hot. So we left early in the morning to make our way south to the Lake Champlain Bridge that was rebuilt and dedicated just a year ago. The trip down this narrow part of the lake was spectacular with the Adirondacks towering over us on our right and the ...

... cone chunks. Delicious, even for breakfast. Of course we grabbed a pint of Half Baked to share back at the RV. Before leaving, I headed out back and up the hill to visit the Flavor Graveyard. Any flavor marketed, that flops, is retired and given a granite gravestone with a cute and catchy little poem. It was a great and fun way to begin our day! On to Stowe. . .
