This condo was somewhat in a business area. It was quiet though and convenient. The condo is managed by the Sunriver Homeowners Association, and they tried to make this a pleasant experience. The owner of the condo who we found on VRBO had promised us tickets everyday to the waterpark. Since our initial rental, the policy changed and the association was only giving out tickets once a week to the waterpark. The owner insisted on keeping his promise to us. However, the weather was too cold for us, and we never used the waterpark. It looked like a very enjoyable park, one we would have enjoyed when the temperature was warmer. Furniture in the condo was OK. Sofa needed replacement. The unit was clean. We had the needed supplies in the kitchen and bathroom, plenty of soap and tissues. No washer and dryer in the unit. There is a laundry room in another building, but we never used that. There is also a pool in the complex, but again we never used the pool. Outside maintenance was being performed while we were there. The management company properly maintains the common areas. The recycling bin stayed full the entire time we were there.

... like we used to have—with an engine too. Charlie helped Jim and Gabe fix the engine to fit in the rear of the canoe.

Our fist stop was to drive to Bend, about 15 miles west of here for a great dinner with another cousin Marty and her husband Mark at their beautiful home. Another cousin, Judy Fromherz brought her mother, Winnie, with her from Aumsville (which is just outside of Salem). Marty and Mark’s daughter, husband ...

... 8230;We were guests of another cousin Mark & Marty for a BBQ in which we also got to see Judy & Winnie & Mark & Marty’s daughter Jaima, husband Caleb and 7 month old Finley… The food was scrumptious and the company priceless! We also had a chance to get out the inflatable canoe and ran down the Little Deschutes River that flows into the Deschutes…This drift/row took us a little more than 3 hours.. and we enjoyed the ride ...

... We were amazed at how many people stopped to look at the eagles once we showed them where they were..... we had 2 adults and 2 chicks in the nest... at any one time we'd have all 4 birds... both adults and both chicks.... then one or both of the adults would fly off to hunt and leave the chicks....

We were surprised how big the chicks were, they are the same size as their adult parents when they hatch ... and wondered why they hadn't ...

... sign: "ROAD CLOSED"!!! Ahh.. well.. so we drove back to the main road where we luckily at least found a rapid with a pretty decent waterfall which we took some pictures of. As we were shooting the fall a we met a nice american couple that had flown in from california to hike in the area. As we told them we were on our way Las Vegas they gave us alot of tip to where to eat in Vegas. Then it was time to find a motel for the night and we drove on the town "Bend" where ...
