    Next day at Cagliari

Decided to go on a trip down the coast to a little place called Villisemus.

We wanted the coast road down but GPS did not, it took us on a newish motorway which wasn't blocked off at the turn off but we soon found out after traveling some distance down that we screamed the brakes on to avoid slamming into a container parked on the road with work men about! Turned back and with ...

... and headed in for some lunch . We drove down to Pula that day ,by the sea, a scary journey of rugged roads and dangerous drivers! Upon returning to our resort we set out for the beach. The water here is absolutely beautiful. We couldn't believe how beautifully clear the water was. We got our chairs and umbrella and set out for a nice long walk on the beach.

We came back to the pool area around 1:00, had a beer and then ...

We left our hotel at 11:00 for a short drive to the airport for our 3:40 flight to Sardinia. By the time Eldon got the car parked and checked back in it was 12:00. I was truly hoping the airport had Wi-Fi, but it didn't, so I suffered for several hours before boarding our flight. We shared a sandwich and a diet coke waiting for our flight.

We left on time for Sardinia and arrived about 20 minutes early. We got our rental ...

... trousers tied at the knees and elbows, a bit like Morris dancers but without the bells, ribbons, flowers and piffling stick. So possibly not like Morris dancers at all but you hopefully get an idea. Oh and they also had pointy hoods on the back of there heads which I think they could pull forward to cover their faces. There is little left of the 13th century gothic original building, the front facade is a 20th century imitation and inside is a morass of baroque ...
