    Yesterday was somewhat ambitious, so we went into today with one primary goal in mind: visiting Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor is famous in history and rich in tales of fortitude and bravery. I had gone into the experience thinking I was going to learn details about the day of the attack, and become more well-versed on the history of World War II.

    ... even better. We soaked up the view for a while (aka had a mini photo shoot) and began to make our way down. Don't be deceived - going down was NOT easier than going up. There's nothing to hold on to and you're trying to climb down a super steep mountain with loose dirt.. AKA you're more likely to wipe out at some point than to not. Plus with a group of seven, one wipes out and the domino effect happens.. you get the picture. Happy to report that my group made it down in one piece ...

    ... focus with the weekends taking up harvest and market, having to awake at either 4.30 or 5 am, and the rest of the week being occupied with maintaining the farm to produce crops in the most organic and sustainable manner. The farm also has chickens, bunnies and Quail birds that have to be looked after every morning and evening. Only having to work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, myself and the other wwoofers (volunteers) have loads of time to explore the island. ...
