I ventured off, solo, and drove the hour long drive to the North Shore. Where I reconnected with Moses "Mo" a friend from the island that we met the last time we were here. Today is an early morning. We are meeting in the theater by 8:00 in the morning for our tour to Waimea Canyon in Kauai, called "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific" by Mark Twain. We will be touring with friends & fellow cruisers, Jan & Ed from Mt. Vernon, OH. Prior to today, we had chosen different tours.

The tradewinds in the title are the winds that are ever-present on Kauai. They are a nice breeze that keeps the heat tolerable and allows everything to be open air. Today, they seemed to have taken a break as it seems not as windy, and a bit more hot.
