The condo had a beautiful oceanfront view to watch turtles, whales and sunsets right from the lanai.

... The pool is always a nice refreshing way to rinse off all the sand and salt water. Dinner was at one of our favorite places...."Duke's". Duke's is located right on Kalapaki Beach. The view from our table was amazing. We saw several paddler's head out for their evening "work out". The menu has changed and no longer has my favorite chicken stir fry. Oh well, the "Hula Pie" is still on the menu so we all shared one for ...

We had nothing planned for today so in the spirit of first timers trying to see and do everything we decided we couldn't let this trip pass without a look at the fabled northern end of Kaua'i, in particular Hanalei Bay. We managed to get out the door by 8.30am which was a fair achievement. After dropping the rented board back to the surf shop and picking up some snorkelling gear we were away. The drive north was really easy, there wasn't much traffic. In fact ...

... Sheraton and found the Poipu Kapili directly across the road and in front of the ocean. Apartment #33 http://www.poipukapili33.com/index.htm& #160;is very impressive, one of the nicer rooms we have stayed in on our travels. Very spacious and modern with all the mod cons and completely self contained. Most importantly for the girls, the wifi reception is outstanding. It does have a ...
