... how they got downhill from here, and we surely wouldn't want to have to climb back up. It was hard enough as it was. It was almost 8 miles round trip for us, and took about 5 hours with a half hour for lunch. Except for a few sprinkles in the Swamp, we had perfect weather: some sun, some clouds, and no mosquitoes. We had earned our mai tais (and Advil) by the time we got back to Poipu.
Well,we got up at 6am....the airport hotel Mariott at Montreal is excellent! Very comfortable and convenient..would highly recommend! We checked in at 7....we have to say that Montreal airport sucks...tried to get an English newspaper and a crossword book....no such luck...all French...and no nice restaurants or shops...more spare than Brisbane! The old down town is kind of run down with many places in need of repair. But there is a kind of renaissance going on with a lot of art galleries and other stores featuring a lot of local arts and crafts.
