      Unsafe and dirty.
Don't stay here if you're travelling with kids.
The staff are rude and very unfriendly.
      Lots of drug use.
Tiny rooms. Dirty sheets, no toilet paper and now towels.
Close to lots of food places, some are amazing and there is a Starbucks across the street in the Safeway store!!! :)
      Lots of traffic noise.
Crowded and the place isn't cleaned very often.
People get their stuff stolen a lot here so don't rent a scooter, better to rent a car (harder to steal) and if you have a bike keep it in your room (your room mates won't mind and it's better than it getting stolen).
They have two or three security cameras but they are quite cheap and when some guy got his bike stolen it couldn't get a good enough picture so they just told him that there was nothing more they could do and didn't reimburse him or take it to the police or anything.
Ask for a corner room if you can get it and you will get a more airy room.
Also if you want air conditioning I think they only provide that (if you pay a fee) for the corner rooms.

... encampments, is truly unbelievable! The pictures we took look like you've pulled a fake Olan Mills backdrop down and lined up the family. Breathtaking! On the way back we drove through The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in the Punchbowl Crater. A very impressive sight that we did not honor nearly enough. Next we drove the Tantalus Loop road. This 9-mile road is probably the most beautiful road you'll ...

... right?!) so we toughed it out and bobbed around for about half an hour. You can only bob for so long however, so soon we decided to be done with the beach and instead go find something to eat. My director has been stationed in Hawaii many years for Camp A, and she swore that one of the best places on the whole entire island to eat was a shrimp truck that was nearby. At this point all of our clothes and towels were completely soaked from the rain, and on top of that because ...
