... we watch the Olympic ski jumping the next time. I can’t see why anyone would willingly ski down that really steep slope and then jump off. It gave my stomach the willies and made part of John’s body shrink up and hide, if you know what I mean. ... from NYC. Perfect meeting point after a 534 mile drive. It is located in the far north east of the Adirondacks and we entered from the south west. It was slow going on back roads for a few hours but the views of the various lakes and mountain ranges were stunning.

We arrived exhausted around 9 pm, had a couple of glasses of wine and hit the hay as we all knew that we had a long weekend ahead of us.
