I was not on my game driving from LA to San Diego today. I managed to squeeze out a truck onto the shoulder when I didn't see him as a changed lanes to make an exit. I also got myself caught in an intersection when I didn't realize I had a red arrow when I was making a left hand turn. Thankfully neither incident resulted in an accident.

... crowds are beginning to gather. We make our way up the street to the cemetery. This is where the parade will end. Back down the street to the "Park" to watch them getting set up for the parade to honor the dead. The parade starts at 7:00 pm and we are home by 7:30. Fun day. I learned a lot about Dia De Los Muertos.

CALIFORNIA WE ARE BACK! We can't get over the difference between yesterday and today, deserted desert straight from your dreams and films and endless breathtaking scenic views -now crowded surfing beaches with music pounding the broad walk.....
After a six hour drive through desert and sand dunes we are now on the beach in San Diego, Olly and Iain are body surfing, us girls ...
