... waiting for the taxi to pull up. The boys, both wearing their sunglasses despite the foggy morning look up and down the street, clutching their carry-ons tightly.

The taxi pulls up at 7:30am and we are off and at the airport by 7:50am for our 10:20am flight. Thanks to the kids, we breeze through TSA pre-check and have ample time for breakfast, bathrooms and most importantly: coffee. The kids of course, are hyped up; zigging and zagging their carry-ons ...

San Diego zoo is hugeeee...... We thought it was a little expensive at $43 a person to begin with but after being there for 5 hours constantly seeing new things we realised maybe not. All in all it was incredible with everything from lions and jaguars to baby gorillas and orangutang's and thousands of different bird species! After being there all day we drove to Gaslamp Quarter in downtown...which for a Tuesday night was very busy as we walked the blocks ...
