  • Botanical Building - built in 1915 with spectacular orchids and other tropical plants inside
  • We enjoyed watching people, especially around the big fountain on the east side of the park – until it got too cold and we decided we go and have a coffee.

    This is one amazing park – a definite come back spot in San Diego – as the Mission Bay Park.

    A day after arriving and seeing as much as we could, we were leaving LA and about to embark on our All-American road trip to the Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Parks.     We woke up in Riverside, and went for a run around the local college campus which included fields of orange trees and other crops. Apparently, UC Riverside offers a large agricultural curriculum. We packed up the car, went to Coco's for breakfast, and were soon underway to San Diego!
