... you closed your eyes, you would have thought you were in a tropical jungle with all the chirping going on. This morning was much of the same, lots of birds yakking at each other. We made coffee and headed for Desert Pete. This is the general public section of the springs. There are two large pools and 4 tubs to soak in the warm spring water. Next to them are two cold water tubs for those brave enough to take the plunge. We finished our coffee and ...

Our first full day in San Diego, we returned our rental car after driving over the Coronado bridge and taking a quick look around what is predominantly a naval community.

We had our first ride on a trolley ( tram ) in to the city area, however the rain and cold meant walking the streets wasn't ideal that day, so we headed to the USS Midway earlier than planned and ended up being there for over 5 ...

I have a weird mix of emotions right now: excited, nervous, sad, and curious, just to name a few. It's always hard ...

This was an amazing place with its whiteness almost glowing in the noon day sun. It looks so new, not like it was built in the 1700s. I can hardly wait to see this place where so many Spanish speakers learned to speak English and other non-English speakers learned the new language of California too. For quite awhile it looked like it was going to be Spanish, but the missions influence brought in English. Is this true of false?
