We pull into Sugar Sands RV Resort about 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2nd. It is about 65 but sunny and breezy. Our lot is right in front of the office, making it easy to find! I drive the car off the dolly and the camp host, Bill, helps John disconnect the dolly from Freddie and roll it over to our site. It takes about 30 minutes to get set up, with everything leveled, sewer, water and electric hooked up and working. We declare that ...

... Beach, which is actually on an island across the bay from Pensacola and found a nice little beach for a picnic. We enjoyed our sandwiches, sand and all and watched the surfers. We had a beautiful sunset to complete our day and our time in Pensacola.

Our next stop will be Crystal River, on the gulf side of Florida where the manatees spend the winter. This has been on my bucket list. Maybe it will even be warm down there. Cheers!

Whew! Height of the tunnel was 16'! No sweat. We could do this.

We drove into the tunnel and everything was good. We came out the other end unscathed and breathing easier. In the meantime, the GPS had recalculated our route and we were in sync again. We had defied it, but it forgave us.

Were we feeling cocky, when the GPS wanted us to turn on a different road ...

... nice, but of course it made me determined to find something to buy. It transpired that the only sandwich he could make fresh was a meatball sandwich. Tim ordered that and I waited to see what it looked like, as I have never eaten a meatball sandwich before. It looked quite good so I ordered one too.
