... time round, I was amazed to acknowledge the sheer size of this huge effigy. Measuring in at an impressive 15 metres high and 43 metres long, covered in glass mosaics, inlaid with mother-of-pearl, and decorated with auspicious symbols, the reclining Buddah is a sight to behold. I reverently made my way around the rest of the site, stopping to gaze at yet more intricate handiwork and beautiful monuments.

We are at a cute hostel just next to the night market. If I can load the pictures you will see it...about 11 dollars per person and includes a light breakfast. The spirit house you see is traditional Thai...are at all homes and businesses. You must make the spirits happy by having a nice house for them and by making offerings. When you upgrade your house the spirit house should be updated ...

... This made travel inadvisable around the main protest sight in Lumphini Park, a convenient 2 minute walk from out hostel... However, it did give us a chance to plan our time in Thailand and now we're feeling PUMPED! We are now sat in surprising luxury, on an overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai. This is perhaps the only perk of leaving train booking to the last minute and there only being first class carriages available! ...

... that early lol. So when we went to the ticket office it went something along the lines of "one ticket please, and do you sell Chang?", its a zoo, and was about 11:00 in the morning haha, as it turned out they didn't, but they did sell Leo, an inferior product made by Singha, not a happy girl :-)
