... not marked speed sign the maximum speed is 50km/hr thorugh villages. This made for very slow going. By the time we reached the next major town of Wadowice I was itching to get on some open road. All the slow work made keeping air flow through the helmet and thus stopping fogging hard. Ou morning coffee stop was a Na Kocierzu Resturant. However, this took some finding as the planned route took us along a road that was closed for repair. After coffee we set off for ...

There is apparently some kind of mini festival taking place at the moment and it was just so lovely to stand about laughing with our new friends and taking it all in, I just couldn't stop smiling! ... left Melč and moved closer to Vienna. Leaving Olomouc, we drove up into the Moravian countryside. I would compare it to the rolling hills of upstate New York where Grandma Buckhout/Lorentson used to live. Narrow roads winding up, down, and around, and then through small communities. The exception to this was the size of the pastures at the tops of the hills, those brought to mind Montana, especially as we got further east and could at times make out ...

... a large piece of plexiglass covering an opening. You have to push up on the plexiglass and crawl onto the roof (the surface is a form of tar paper) and the walls are about waist high. The sensation was similar to being at the top of Chichtenizta. But the view was terrific.

Jack stopped for lunch and Deb continued on to St. Wenceslas Cathedral with its three tall Gothic spires, the third one being 320ft high-the tallest in Moravia. It was originally a Romanesque Basilica, ...
