When we arrived in Tamsweg, the snowflakes were about the size of my fist... we were worried we were going to get snowed in but luckily the snow had stopped by the evening.
Then we had a lovely relaxing evening playing cards!
... was really nice seeing them again - it is their last few days in Austria so it was good to see them before they went back to England.
We went for a couple of games of bowling before we left and said our final goodbyes to the Virtual Heroes lot!
THEN we were off on a 3.5 hour journey up to Linz! (after refuelling with a McDonalds of course!)

Here we are in Klagenfurt - (Home Of Bruno)!! After a 2 hour journey from Hartberg, we arrived a the Liebetegger Hotel in Klagenfurt. It is a very nice, simple hotel. There was no lift so we had to drag our cases up 3 flights of stairs! The rooms are very cosy - not much room to swing a cat but it is very nice nonetheless. The city centre is a short walk away so we walked there for dinner. After a while of wandering around in the snow, we ...
... rail bed and most of it follows a river through the mountains. We went through lots of tunnels. The trail is a work in progress, so there were times we were off the old rail bed and on the roads. There were a few spots where we had to climb back up to the bike trail - even some stairs, which is difficult with our fully loaded bikes.

We stopped in the city of Villach for a coffee break at a little cafe along the river. Later we stopped at a town near Italy and bought groceries for our lunch. We then went to a nearby park to eat. Just as we were finishing our picnic, it started raining.
We reluctantly put our rain gear on again.
