Walter tried his best this morning to have us out of the apartment before the queue became too long to view the clock tower in the central square. It was to be another lovely day and viewing prospects were good. So we postponed breakfast for some exercise climbing stairs. ... we went to Charles square and looked for the botanical gardens, but they were rather disappointing and it was too late to check out the churches in the area, so we went to Wenceslas square, which is a beautiful place, where we had a nice walk by the numerous stores up to the national museum. We ended up walking to the hotel through the beautifully lit streets of Prague, and after a nice break (again - more food and drink), we'd be off to dinner soon (or room service tonight). ...

Why have we never thought about visiting this place before? It's a mix of Munich, Florence, and Paris. The food is stick to your ribs delicious, the buildings are straight out of a romantic movie, and the history is fascinating. The skyline is lined with red tile roofs, the occasional church spire, and bridges that cross the Vltava river. Everything is quaint. The only stain on the city is the graffiti which has found its way ...
