... adjust: auto;">We like Lake Havasu, its got all you need, a State Park within biking distance of town that has decent grocery stores plus a library or Starbucks for Wiffi! In previous years we've make it the first stop on our way down to Arizona. Like all the State parks now though it's difficult to get in but we were lucky!

... soldiered on! It was a great hike, with a lunch high on a hill overlooking Lake Havasu, and a long, hot walk over the ridge back to the trucks! The beer back at the campground was well-deserved, as was the delicious BBQ tri-tip dinner!

Cindy and I headed out for three nights in Lake Havasu, AZ on Saturday. Chris and Stephanie planned to go with us, but were delayed by a day because of a relative's surprise birthday party. The three hour drive to Lake Havasu was extended by a stop for lunch in Searchlight, and by a train at the grade-level railroad crossing north of the I-40 connection. ... had grown so much that we felt dehydrated. We went straight back to the car and the hotel to get some drink.

It is a very pretty place around here but its just too hot - we are talking about 42/43 degrees!!

Our plans are maybe to lazy in the pool, do some washing and chill out - Nothing too exciting really.

The weather is meant to be turning bad over the next couple of days due to hurricane Odile so fingers crossed we don't get flooded out in Phoenix.
