To add insult to injury our seats - 8a and 8b - we're actually in separate coaches, so we couldn't sit together until much later in the journey when the woman next to me got off the train. We explored the quaint streets that wrapped around the hillside and meandered the tiny streets of the old town admiring the murals. To top it off we even got to indulge another of our passions with some kayaking time.

The promenade was bursting with inviting bars and restaurants so ...

After an obligatory chill poolside, Pete, Scott and I decide to go off to play crazy golf. Pete beats me by one stroke and Scott finishes a disappointing third place. Apparently Scott is normally victorious so losing hits him hard. To cheer him up we head off for a liquid lunch, and en route we bump into Lisa and my wife ...
