Portugal is rapidly becoming our favorite place in the world. Why, you ask? Three reasons: interesting and beautiful beaches, pitchers of sangria and flavorful, fresh seafood. Here in Praia de Luz we have found all three within easy access. We're enjoying the variety and changing flavors of Portugal, especially this Algarve region.

This morning we went for a walk on the Praia de Luz beach. Normally the ...

... relaxing lunch with a liter of sangria at a sidewalk café. I had grilled sea b************** fish, head and all--and it was the best I've ever tasted! We made it back to Jade eventually, although with quite a lot of difficulty, assuming that the wind would die down overnight as the heat of the day faded, but once again we found ourselves with strong winds all night. Not quite as bad as Sagres, in fairness, as we both slept well, but definitely not what we were hoping ...

Not too much to tell from yesterday in lagos, we had a relaxing beach day and got in some surfing and that's about it. We have met some great people here, had some amazing food, some how managed to not get sunburnt and enjoyed just being able to relax for a few days. So this day in Lagos (lagosh as the locals say) was filled with surf, sand and sangria, the three S's of a healthy lifestyle. We rented boards and messed around in some beach waves which was a lot of fun! ...
