One of the traditions here is that everyday at 3pm they serve hot chocolate chip cookies at the base of the Centennial Chair Lift. These are delicious and everyone makes their way down at that time to enjoy some. We were no exception. After posting the last blog on Wednesday morning, August 6, my sister-in-law Barbara, Jim, Pat and I headed out to see the sights of Pueblo. Our first stop was at Lake Pueblo which is a large recreation area for boaters, water skiers and fishermen. ... danced across our faces. We slept five to a tent tonight: Taylor, Me, Breezer, Carlee and Lauren. Breezer and Carlee talked in their sleep and the tent shook with some wind and a nighttime chill. Now, back to the morning. After the usual (5am wake up, pack, blah blah) our hosts cooked us breakfast, and I think this was the best breakfast we've had on this trip: breakfast tacos and applesauce pancakes. Mmmmmmmm. I started the day with a flat. A thorn pierced my ...

We began today with a delicious "campermade" breakfast of eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits and cantaloupe. Since we are usually up and on our way with something quick to eat, this was a treat. We left the KOA in Moab and drove to Arches National Park. I should have known better than to complain about cool/cold temperatures recently – it was almost 100 degrees and only 11am! As a good southern girl would ...
