... it had everything we needed, plus coke and home made muffins which tasted divine. From Wise River, we rode twenty miles on the paved Scenic Byway in two hours, climbing very gently. It was stunning. So serene, with mountains on either side, creeks along the road, no traffic and only a whisper of wind. And Matt saw his first grizzly just as he was arriving at the campsite. He called out 'hey bear' as he had been instructed to do so by bear police Nadine. As the animal ran off ...

We just happened to arrive at the same time as another one of their college buddies, Eagle, came into town. The guys kicked off the weekend with a canoe trip down the Yellowstone River. Since this also coincided with Renee going for a visit back ...

... We explored Big Sky and booked a horseback riding trip for tomorrow. Alex and I went on a 2 mile hike to a big waterfall in the morning. I wish we had mountains back home. It is such a great workout. And, Alex did great on the uphill eventually beating me to the top. Then we headed out for our rafting adventure. It was a good time, mild as far as rapids go, but a great trip. Alex has been spoiled on strong class 3-5 rapid trips lasting 3-4 hours so I had to explain, we can ...
