... the way, I got shoes with my granddad. It was super fun to go to a familiar shop that was all English! As we came home, my parents were still gone, so we planned it all out. As soon as they got home, we ate at Lupe tortilla. It was the best food ever! I never felt so stuffed in my life! Then my parents did their own individual shopping, and as soon as they knew, the were treated to a surprise party! I thought it was really fun! ... Byodo-In Temple. It is a shrine dedicated to the first Japanese to arrive in Hawaii in 1898. The next and most spectacular stop we made was at Hanauma Bay. Crystal clear lagoons, coral reefes, smooth water. The palms here are called Royal Palms. They grow to about 30 feet and flow gently in the breezes. Diamond Head was the next stop. ... sand. To make the wait even more painful, as we were keen to get into the water, we had to sit through a compulsory video about the fragile reef ecosystem which went for 15 minutes.

Went for a run/walk around Waikiki, followed the canal for a k or so and then on to the eastern end of Waikiki,then back along the water front to the hotel.
