I headed to the airport and waited for June, got there a tad early and waited for two hours for her to arrive, maybe I was a bit eager! Finally when she arrived after a 30 hour journey (commitment), we went to collect a rental car and start our two week journey. Firstly we had two nights in Brisbane, booked an apartment for a nice place to settle in to begin with! Very nice indeed. I let June have a little snooze but surprisingly she wasn't too jet lagged! We went for ...

... and I’m soaked, drenched from head to toe. This would have been a much
funnier story if it had happened to Bill!

Car collected, Bill returns to pick us up (missed that
opportunity to take off babe!!) then back to the van and time for this little
black duck to dry off, gourmet meal of vegies and rice for dinner we are all
exhausted collapsing in to bed to recharge for Movie World tomorrow.

When we arrived the golden sands both sprawled out in to the distance, with clear blue waves crashing on to them.... barely a person to be seen amongst the sand.. ...

... and the surf pushing you in and
out it was a work out but very fun. I haven't yet perfected the boogie board
    even after 2 beach days.
We spent an hour and a half at the beach and then
headed down the road to find a place for lunch at the Kurrawa beach club.
The money they get from the club is to help pay for the life guards at the ...

... to the day. At sunset after dinner we headed to the jetty where there are often dolphins, some people even fed them squid from the pier!

Packing the car for the road trip, the boot was looking pretty full. We woke early the next morning setting of at 7am heading south from Brisbane to Byron Bay. One of Ashleigh's friends Jess was joining us for the first part of the road trip. On the way we took a route through the mountains, for lunch we walked ...
