After lunch, we walked over to take a quick look at the Church of a Hundred Doors. We weren't dressed appropriately, so we just peeked in.

Ω Dress properly when visiting churches ...

Delos is an incredibly interesting place. The entire island is a collection of ruins where no one is allowed to stay on the island overnight so everyone who visits are day trippers—most of whom are staying in Mykonos. It was an excellent day for exploring ruins at just over 60F degrees it was cool and pleasant. There is a lot to explore on the island so be sure to leave enough time to see it all.

... beautiful place with the village full of white-washed buildings scattered around a maze of little streets and alley ways. Just at it seemed that Santorini was made for couples, Mykonos was make for singles and the party life. This is one place that I want to return to again.

Apparently, there were only a few taxi's on the island and one wonders why anyone would take one when two large cruise ships were in town. You see, not only was our ship, the Ruby Princess, carrying 3,100 passengers in port but the Celebrity cruise ship was also in port. There were so many people around the port area that taxi's virtually couldn't move more than a few inches a minute. Hope ...

We arrive in Mykonos, and when i step off the ferry i hear my name. it is Scott and Chris in line to board the ferry we just came from. weird timing. anyway, the guy from the hostel is there also, waiting to pick us up and take us to the hostel. it is really nice and a good location. first thing we do is look for a scooter rental. in fact this time we got an ATV. this was quite fun, but we had a few problems driving it, especially up ...

... woke up just in time to get ready for our first port stop - Mykonos. Our contiki guide Haley took our group on a walking tour and pointed out the interesting churches, town mascot (large pelicans), little venice, and the infamous windmills seen in movies (Bourne Identity). Although not much on the island it is well known for its night life, gay bars and nudist beaches. Patricia wonder the town afterwards and enjoyed the amazing views before heading ...

... ancient Greek city of Ephesus. It was really amazing and the Greek's sure love their marble! They even had public toilets - a marble slab with holes in it - certainly no privacy... Another set of ruins, however these one's were really well in tact. After checking out Ephesus, we headed back into town and had a wander around the markets. It's so funny to see the signs up all around saying "genuine fake watches"!!!! I bought a big Gucci bag and managed ...

... our sides hurt. good times. Then... we wanted to get food... so we had to walk... but because it was such a small ferry.... it was going up and down and sidewayss.... so you felt like a total drunk just walking. I Laughed with every step i took... and then i almost crashed into this guy when i was staring intently upon my newly-aquired doughnut....it was delicious... But. we got to Mykonos... and man. Atop a hill overlooking the city sits the arch for the temple of Apollo which is now a doorway looking either out to see or to the entirety of the city. How on Earth did I get to be so lucky?

My family and I went on a cruise of the Greek Islands. We ate a lot, got sea sick once, soaked up the sun, and absorbed the classically beautiful white and blue colours on the islands. There weren't very much ship activities that my sister and I were interested in but Allyson and I did win a bingo game! Mykonos was by far our favorite island because of its beauty.
