... Surfers before taking us back to his place on Miami beach, a short drive from the centre. We spent the evening getting to know Brad and some tips on what to do during our stay. On our first full day Brad drove us around, giving us a tour of the Gold Coast. We visited some viewpoints, some beautiful beaches as well the point where Queensland meets South Wales. Before heading back we drove through the 'green behind the gold', the countryside surrounding ...

... 160; Will wins the prize for top lad today after staying up until late with four mates to cheer on Arsenal as they beat Manchester City away (in a match that kicked off at 2am here); heading to work at 9 this morning to put in a 5 hour shift; going out to the shops to buy some new Adidas Predator football boots; and, finally, topping off a solid performance at football trials by rattling the post with a header before putting in the rebound. Finally made it to Oz! We left Asia a month earlier than planned because it was starting to get into their rainy season and there wasn't much to do except get soaked. ... the first Saturday Kathy was here so we went shopping at Robina while the blokes took in a movie. The rest of time it was fine but a bit windy. We put Kathy & Greg back on the plane Thursday and the heavens opened up again on Friday & today. The seas were very rough but quite good to watch from behind the glass in our Unit - probably better than being in the confines of the caravan.

... br> Received an email Saturday afternoon with photos. Yes Chris had finished the doors for the under bed storage. Our thinking was that we wanted to be able to lock the doors and be able to have the barn doors open on some of the hotter evenings. Well Chris has excelled again. Wow.

Or as a friend said if Sharon is weepy over the doors Allan better have a huge box of tissues when the rest of the camper is completed.

    Update: Bathroom went in yesterday.
