    ... marble colons are easily 9 ft high and 60 cm in diameter.

    The amphitheater also has marble seatings in the first 5-6 rows, very interesting. There is also a toilet area (lantern) that's worth looking - interesting.

    The sun was setting and I hurried for the pictures. Hope you like them.

    From Girne to Kaplica should take no more than an hour and it took me 8 hours, and I'll explain why....

    Before I forget, I met Peter when I was visiting an old church/monastery with cave system all around it. Ahmet was the gate keeper and they were already drinking tea with Peter when I arrived. Peter came all the way from Belgium with his bike. ...

    ... some nice Cypriot dishes. We did not ask for the usual ones served, I mean olives and pickles, or the minor ones, but asked for the best out of the whole list of 'meze'. For me what counts is quality and not quantity.

    Panicos brought a platter of different dips at first, and since the time was such and there were no other customers I insisted that he comes and join us. The dips were fantastic and very refreshing.

    ... from Jerusalem has already traveled to all Orthodox Churches and by 12 midnight sharp the priest comes to the entrance of the sanctuary holding 3 lit candles, -the lights in the whole building are turned off by now and the only light comes from the candles the priest is holding. There is some excitement especially with youngsters who will try to lit their candles and they compete as to who is going to light his candle first.
