    ... have closed off a couple of big roads that run in parrallel with the coast for about a kilometre. My bag and person were very thoroughly searched, but there wasn't too much going on.     ... send regular mail it does arrive but it takes 3 months! A lovely surprise when it does arrive ;). How it arrives without address is by neighborhood, building name, floor and any well known street name. Yup!

    OOPs One more - I like to travel and originally picked Panamá for being closer to home (compared to Chile!). Turns out it is closer but the airline industry is very a local company, Copa Airlines, which makes all flights in/out at least $500 ...

    ... some very hectic traffic as we zoomed through the outskirts of the city. This was a totally different view from the outlying area where my hotel is located, in what was previously the “Canal Zone” of the United States, or the Casco Viejo historic area. As we headed out of the city and began our hour long drive on the highway to cross the isthmus and get to Colón, on the Atlantic side, I wondered what differences I would see at the other end of Panamá.

    ... 128542; Octavio was to be our tour guide for the Segway tour. I have been fascinated by Segways after seeing them in Washington. I've often pictured myself on one, doing yard duty--Darren Fancy, Duty Teacher!!!! FYI, I was at Allbrook Shopping Center and they did have mall cops on Segways!!
