As a result of such a large table, we were in the restaurant for nearly 3 hours, missed the show and the start of the film. So, it's 11pm and were calling it a night. We went for a walk and coffee around Santa Pola early in morning and headed to meet another long standing friend ...

What a difference a day makes! Everywhere on the beaches in Santa Pola virtually deserted today. The beach cleaning machines operate from 10 at night until 10 in the morning. Every square metre of the sand is sieved through to get it as clean as possible. One disappointing feature of Spanish beaches is the lack of public toilets, the few that are here are not clean or well stocked with tissue/soap etc, considering tourism is such a key part of ...

Early start and away with me into ELX to see if Carrefour/Orange Mobile shop were open to check out my internet problem. All closed Sundays. Instead I headed for Santa Pola again and parked up temporarily on the seafront and went for a cycle to establish the lie of the land. A nice town with plenty local businesses rather than tourist dominated. ...
