    ... walked, we began to hear great jazz music. We ended up in the town square and low and behold, ut was the start of the Cartagena jazz festival!     ... to the USA again and likewise from us. Very few have made the trip to Australia citing the long distance as the major reason! Why is it easier for us to travel to the US?     Alicante airport was scary there was police everywhere checking cars coming in and out with shotguns in hand, it was very nerve racking driving up to them but they let us through - Boarding the plane was nice and quick we were all so tired ready for the long trip home!

    What an amazing holiday it was been! Looking forward to planning our next after Christmas to Amsterdam

    Orihuela Shopping!

    After our plans at the safari went down the drain we decided to go and check out the new 3 year old Shopping center in Orihuela.

    It was Massive! Its a shame a lot of it was the same as what we have back here in Nottingham and derby West field but it was still a really good day trip out, We had lunch at Tommy Mels Diner which was a really well done 50's style diner the interior was beautiful ...

    ... We had a very long walk in the beautiful sun and saw a lot of things including massive date palm trees and sculpted totems.

    In the evening we got the bus back to La mata which was more relaxed as we actually had seats! we stopped at a cafe on the beach that i had never seen before, We tried churros with hot chocolate dipping sauce and a tropical smoothie between us.
