      Day 14

A travel blog entry by elewis9211 on Nov 05, 2014

... I was very hungover from drinking that stupid ****! So I felt like packing up and coming home! But then when we made it to camp we all smashed some noodles into us and chilled out, ready to spend another night pretty cold talking and listening to songs on our phones which still had battery! Had to go to bed by 10 as I was shattered, and my bum was killing as is been bitten 10 times on my bum and 5 times on my forehead! Ugh, hate ...

Once off Fraser Island, we headed further south, down the coast.
Stopped at Maryborough briefly - only to take a photo of Mary Poppins ( the author was born there - I did not know that!)
Made our way to Mooloolaba, where we met my sister Sandra, who had organised to come up for a few days. Was lovely to see her, and also lovely to stay in an apartment with her - a few ...

It felt so strange on our first day here when Jane and David, the house owners, said goodbye and left us in charge of their house and pets. We know we are the perfect house sitters, but they really didn't know that. I'm sure they will be ...

      Monday 14/4/14
It's not like us to run late, but instead of leaving Ballina at 9am we left at 11.45am. It was a wet trip all the way up the coast but when we arrived at Gowinta Strawberry farm the rain held off so we could set up the camper trailer, which took longer to set up than driving up to Beerwah. We had to laugh because we were given an A4 sheet of rules which basically stated the kids could not do anything or make a lot of noise ...

... pretty late at night and made a cheapy dinner of pasta and garlic bread. It was just nice to sit on a couch and watch TV: The next day we went to Steve Irwin's Australian Zoo which was realy cool. After going in the wrong direction and getting a bit lost we finally made it and saw lots of cool animals like tasmanian daredevils (not at all like the cartoon), cassawaries (huge birds that apparently go out of their way to attack - Kristen was ...
