After a leisurely day exploring we enjoy too much great food again and headed off to the Concert Hall to be entertained by Rustem Hayroudinoff ad internationally acclaimed classical pianist. While I didn't recognise any of the songs he played, there was no denying that he was a fantastically talented pianist. ...

Arrived in Rome via another lovely Italo Train. It was first class travel with complimentary wifi and drinks and comfortable reclining seats. Little bit of retail therapy for me then back to swim and snooze. In Gythion harbour there is a tiny island which is where Helen of Troy and Paris spent their first night after escaping from Sparta. At ...

Breakfast by the harbour then drive north up the east coast, heading for campsite at Gythion. Stop in mountain village of Lagia for coffee and meet a german couple on their bikes, one of which is a recumbent bike! We buy them a cup of coffee while a rain storm passes. They are on a year's sabbatical from their teaching jobs. Started last September, cycled from home via Italy to Crete. Went home for the winter, then flew back to Crete to continue ...
