First off, the accommodation in the one bed condo's are amazing, very big and spacious and beautifully furnished.
However we had a problem when arriving as our room wasn't ready, they promised to call us when ready but they didn't, then there system was faulty and couldn't give us any door cards so we had to make sure one of us stayed in the room till they got that sorted, and the final icing on the cake was.... No wifi in the rooms!

Ted was awake before Sheree and started the drive around 6:00 am. It was foggy and damp so not much could be seen for several hours until the sun burned it off. When we were hungry we were already at St. Cloud where we found there was a Bojangles, so we stopped for the fluffy biscuits. So good. Sheree also tried grits with cheese for the first time. Grits are about the same as Cream of Wheat ...

... have had thunderstorms and lightning overhead along with one brief power outage. Such is life on the Florida coast.

Last Thursday, I ventured out to the main highway to pick up an Amazon package at a Fedex store then drop off a couple Amazon returns at a UPS store, refill water bottles at local Publix market and take in a movie. Friday, we took out the kayaks to explore the bay and lake in the park for a couple of ...

... stronger as the night went on. It was hard trying to leave because as soon as someone heard our accents they always wanted to know where we were from and all seemed impressed with our drive across country.Things really fell apart when the barmaid shouted the bar with something she called Liquid Marijuana. Thats all i've got to say on that but a good night was had by all.

... wasn't the worst. Thanks to the hole in the ozone my skin was prepared. :) we had fajitas for supper. And tonight we pulled out the thrift shop clothes that we'd bought earlier in the trip. We all swapped and turns out I'd ended up with a kilt and matching tartan vest with a lovely orange shirt to go with it. The material made me ridiculously hot in the heat and I was seriously struggling. The sun had definitely taken it out of most of us so we all crawled into bed fairly ...

This morning we got up and grabbed a bite of breaky before meeting up with the group ready for a big drive day. Luckily the morning was fairly broken up because we stopped for a food stop and then continued onto the swamp tour. The last time I did this tour there wasn't many big gators around so it was nice when we stopped off in one of the bayous to be completely surrounded by adolescent gators. There was probably about 8 all around us and the tour guide was feeding them ...
