Singapore is really different to all other countries we been to in Asia. Everything is super clean, and very expensive. Mathilde pointed out that it is a bit like Las Vegas, with a lot of neon light and expensive stores.

Even the taxi driver laughed at us when we said that we wanted a ride to the closest subway, to go to the airport (to save money and ...

By the time we got off the plane, we ...

Our destination was the Hindu temple of Sri Veeramakaliamman, which is a beautiful place: the outside is covered with carvings of Hindu gods and the inside is full of shrines to them, with the temple being dedicated to Kali the mother goddess and her triumph over evil. We had to take our shoes off to go inside but it was no hardship as the marble floors were clean and ...

... fed and my brow mopped when the Singapore heat got too much.

As an avid Beauty and the Beast fan, I was over the moon to see a replica of the silver plated serving dish that's seen in the Disney movie. Not that we were tempted to see 'what lies beneath' as the grand afternoon tea tipped us over the Tetleys edge.

Of course there was no way we could leave without a Singapore Sling from the bar where they were born - Long Bar ...
