... as the day (year) before, but this time with an ice cream :-) We then moved to loungers right at the back edge of the deck to get the very last rays as we sailed away and watched the sun set.

Our farewell to the Bahamas was the second of out formal nights with the dress code being "Elegant". Depending on interpretation this turned out to be anything from tuxedos to t-shirts and everything in between. There were lots of elegant outfits to be ...

... for a classical concert by the Rosario Strings.

As the concert ended and I headed up to the Windjammer for lunch a flood of people was streaming down the stairs. Seeing all that rusty scabs the size of paper plates hanging loose on the hull was a bit disconcerting at the time though. So far the seas and waves had been minimal coming from the Gulf to the Bahamas. Would our luck hold out?

We skipped the exercising this morning, as this was the only port that we actually booked an excursion. I normally try to avoid paying the ship's prices for excursions, as they mark them up a lot. I booked through the cruise line here, though, since the ship docks in an industrial area away from anything worth seeing and also, because of the short time here, I wasn’t going to take a chance on getting delayed getting back to the ship. Keith and I were going in ...
