I thought the small roads stunk, but traffic on I-95 was awful almost the entire way. Lots of major slow sections. What should have been a 10 hr drive is going to take more like 12-13 hrs.     ... cart and drives around in them. they even have their own golf cart roads. there is lots to do in the villages. the life long learning college is most appealing to me. they had almost as many classes there as the santa fe community college. and they are not degree specific, you can take the same classes over and over if you want and don't have to claim a major, or work toward a "degree", as sfcc is starting to do. they have lots of pottery classes!!! ...

Of course the currents were drifting us backwards to where we had just paddled from and I made the observation that a minute's rest would require two more to gain back the distance lost.
