... what is left will be preserved. However, there are signs to warn you not to visit on windy or wet days as great lumps of rock simply drop off and some are huge. There is a very large church at the base of the elevated castle and the inside does not match the out and is quite beautiful, we assume most of this splendour was paid for out of the tolls over the centuries. ... a sheltered lagoon as we can see houses opposite and to the right linking this side to that, is a bridge. We had a bit a a walk at lunch time to get our barings, walking by hundreds of boats (the marina holds 1,600). We came to a nice little bar to get out of the wind, although only a breeze compared to the Lizard. ... parked our bikes up, wandered around until we found the tourist information where we asked which bus to get, she replied in lovely French pointing to places on the map and bus timetable she gave us, which we kinda understood, found we had an hour to kill before the next bus so had a wander through the streets, unfortunately most of the shops seem to shut on Mondays much to Andy's glee! ... look the cathedral up on the Internet for details but I have never seen a cathedral with such a small space for the main service however it had lots of areas around the edge for small services, which looked as if these were for different saints. Every one inside whispered and respected the place they were in, even children seemed to be quiet.
